Wednesday Etsy - Beach Edition

This week for the eco-friendly Etsy find, instead of featuring just one item, I decided to curate a entire beach outfit for you. Although I'm not at the beach right now, or planning on heading there any time soon, it has been hot, hot, hot here in Pittsburgh lately and it has me thinking of not much more than diving into the pool!

I started the look today with this bamboo and organic cotton bikini from Ecochic. Follow the link to see the cute surprise in the back of the suit. Love it!  Ecochic is based in Miami so you can be sure they know sexy swimwear, prepare to be envied! I loved the multicolored blue accents on the suit, and thought they needed to be accented in some cute accessories.

Grab this tote bag from Pouch for all your beach necessities (did you read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series yet? It is a must read this summer!).  Just to show that you can be eco-friendly in so many different ways, this tote's great print is from a recycled vintage fabric.

To complete this beach look you will need a cover-up so you can go out for margaritas later and maintain your dignity, or at least try! For this piece I'm going to put you to work. I found this posting on Craftzine.com from Project Runway alum Diana Eng about how turn an old t-shirt in to a drawstring waist tunic. I suggest swiping one from your boyfriend (he needs to pair down the t-shirt collection anyhow) in a light blue or army green to complement the rest of the look.

To be honest with you, this tunic dress in so cute, I think we should all make a half dozen of them and wear them all the time! Perfect for summer.
